Hot Balsamic Ketchup Miami

Cooking your ketchup is an amazing experience. And when it is your favorite hot balsamic ketchup in the Miami style, then it's time to put on your toque blanche. Balsamic vinegar is a dark, and intensely flavored vinegar prepared from grape must.

Here is the list of ingredients required to make your own organic Hot Balsamic Ketchup

  1. Olive oil - 2tbs.
  2. Chopped onion - 1 medium size
  3. Minced garlic - 1 clove
  4. Tomato puree - 1-28 oz.
  5. Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  6. Balsamic vinegar - 1/4 cup
  7. Tomato paste - 1 Tbs.
  8. Kosher salt - 1/2 tsp.
  9. Ground mustard - 1/2 tsp.
  10. Ground cloves - 1/8 tsp.
  11. Allspice - 1/8 tsp.
  12. Cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp.

Steps involved in Preparation

Heat oil in a medium sauce pan, and saute the onion till it turns brown. Put in the garlic, and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Pour in the tomato puree, brown sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, salt, mustard, cloves, allspice, and cayenne pepper. Stir and don't let the tomato sauce gurgle and bubble. When this boils, bring the flame to simmer, and cover the pan with a lid.

Once the sauce thickens, use an immersion blender to make the sauce smooth. If you don't have an immersion blender at home, use an ordinary blender or mixer. Pour the sauce into a jar once it cools down.
